Deletion / Disconnection of Account (U.S. Version)

This guide explains how to use the side menu to view profile, manage linked accounts, customize settings, and access additional features.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the Side Menu or Tap the ☰ icon in the top left corner.

  2. View or Update Profile → Tap View Profile → on the Profile screen, use Update Now to save changes or Delete Account to remove your InvestMates account.

  3. Manage Linked Accounts → Tap Manage Linked Accounts → swipe right on any row to reveal Delete, then confirm to disconnect that institution. To add new connections, tap Add More Accounts. To sync you need to click on the account .

  4. For manual assets you need to select the account and then swipe left for deletion of assets.

  5. Adjust Preferences → Tap Notifications or Settings → toggle alerts for Stock Performance, Daily Updates, Otto Insights, and more.

  6. Other Menu Options

    • My Bookings: View or reschedule advisor calls.

    • Product Tour & Theme: Relaunch the guided tour or switch between Light/Dark mode.

    • FAQs, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy: Access help articles and legal info.

  7. Sign Out → Tap Sign Out at the bottom → confirm to log out of InvestMates.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Disconnecting Accounts is permanent for that broker/institution until you re-link.

  • Profile Updates sync immediately—look for the confirmation toast.

  • Notification Toggles apply in real time; no need to restart the app.

FAQs / Common Issues

  • “I don’t see ‘Manage Linked Accounts.’”
    Make sure you’re on the side menu—this option does not appear on other screens.

  • “I tapped Disconnect by mistake—how do I reconnect?”
    Return to Add More Accounts and follow the original linking flow for that institution.

  • “How do I change my notification settings later?”
    Open the side menu again and tap Settings—your preferences are saved automatically.
