Deleting Your Account (India user)

Learn how to view and update your profile, delete your account & change notification, theme, and subscription settings from the side menu.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open Profile → Tap the ☰ hamburger menu → Select View Profile.
    ​

  2. Edit Profile → Tap Edit → Update your details → Tap Update Now to save.
    ​

  3. Delete Account → From Edit, choose Delete Account → Confirm to remove your account.
    ​

  4. Manage Notifications & Preferences → In the side menu, tap Settings → Adjust notification preferences, switch themes, or restart the product tour.
    ​

  5. View Subscription (Pro users) → Under your name in the side menu, tap Manage Subscription → Tap View Details → Use Cancel Subscription if you wish to end your Pro plan.

  6. If you want to change plan click on manage plan button at the bottom.
    ​

  7. Other Menu Options
    ​

    1. Product Tour & Theme: Relauch the guided tour or switch between Light/Dark mode.

    2. FAQs, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy: Access help articles and legal info.
      ​

  8. Sign Out → Tap Sign Out at the bottom → confirm to log out of InvestMates.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Irreversible Deletion: Once confirmed, account deletion can’t be undone after 30 days.
    ​

  • Data Retention: You’ll lose access to all portfolios, goals, and history during deactivation.
    ​

  • Subscription Changes: Cancelling your Pro plan stops auto-renewal but keeps your benefits until period end.

FAQs / Common Issues

  • “I don’t see ‘Delete Account’.”
    ​     Make sure you’ve tapped Edit on the Profile screen—only there does the Delete option appear.
    ​

  • “Profile updates not saving.”
    ​     Check your internet connection and try again; we’ll show a confirmation toast when successful.
    ​

  • “Can’t find notification settings.”
    ​     Look under Settings in the side menu; they’re grouped with Theme and FAQ.
    ​

  • “Subscription option missing.”
    ​     Only Pro users see Manage Subscription—upgrade to Pro to access billing controls.
