How to Add, Sync, and Remove Your EPF in InvestMates

Learn how to link your Employee Provident Fund (EPF)—automatically via UAN/mobile OTP or manually.

1. Adding Your EPF

Steps

  1. Tap the Wealth icon at the bottom.

  2. Tap Link Account and select EPF.

  3. Choose one of the following methods:

    • Auto (UAN/Mobile):

      1. Enter your UAN or mobile number.

      2. Tap Get OTP and enter the received code.

      3. Tap Link to complete the process.

    • Manual:

      1. Fill in your employer details, amounts, and dates.

      2. Tap Add Investment to save.

2. Managing Your EPF

To make any changes or sync your EPF, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the EPF card on your Wealth dashboard.

  2. Tap the (three dots) on the EPF card to see the following options:

    • Sync: Re-authenticate via OTP to refresh your EPF details.

    • Edit: Update your manually entered details like employer name, amount, and dates.

    • Delete: Remove the EPF link from your account.

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm changes. Your data will refresh or be deleted instantly.

Keeping your EPF data up to date

  • Re-authentication: For auto-linked EPFs, you need a fresh OTP each time you sync your account.

  • Manual updates: Manually entered EPF entries won’t update automatically; you’ll need to edit them when details change.

Frequently asked questions

  1. I never got the OTP.
    Ensure the correct UAN or mobile number is entered. Wait for 30 seconds, then tap Resend Code.

  2. My manual entry row still shows after I deleted it.
    Pull down to refresh the Wealth screen. If the issue persists, try Disconnecting again.

  3. Can I switch from manual to auto later?
    Yes. Use Disconnect to remove the manual entry, then relink via UAN or mobile under Link Account → EPF.
